Job Title: Part-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist (D.PT) to join our team on a part-time basis leading to full-time employment. The PT will work in a multi-disciplinary wellness center and assist another PT with supervision of PT assistant(s) to implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve patients’ mobility, strength, function, and overall well-being. This role involves direct patient care, assisting with therapeutic exercises, monitoring progress, and helping to create a supportive and encouraging environment for patients.

Implement individualized treatment plans for patients

Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities

Monitor patient progress and report observations to supervising M.D.

Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and home exercise programs

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments and progress

Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions

Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients

Communicate effectively with patients, therapists, and staff members

Qualifications

Doctorate of Physical Therapy

Current state license, liability insurance. Credentials for insurance billing preferred 

Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to motivate and support patients through rehabilitation

Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented

Preferred Skills

Experience working in an outpatient or wellness-based physical therapy setting

Interest in holistic or wellness-oriented care

Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Schedule

Part-time transitioning to full time. 

Flexible scheduling based on clinic needs and patient volume

Work Environment

This position involves working directly with patients in a clinical or wellness setting. The role requires assisting patients with exercises and mobility activities and may involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting as part of daily duties.

Pay

$58-$72.50 an hour depending on experience.
